September is Love Local Month!  All month long we’re celebrating our local farmers and vendors with demos, events and more. Here are some of our staff's favorite local products.

I really enjoy a light bodied, full flavored IPA like Good Life’s Evil Sister Double IPA. It’s brewed with the same malt bill as Good Life’s Sweet As Pacific Ale only with a good hop kick. This gives you all the flavor you want in an IPA, but keeps the profile light. The hops used are not the most bitter leaving this double IPA well balanced. 8.5% ABV. Available in 16.9 oz bottles only. Mike Robertson, Specialties Department

Vera Scents is a handcrafted soap company based in Talent that I absolutely love. The owner sources all his ingredients from local clean sources and is very passionate about creating his brand. Rose Geranium and Lemongrass are two of my favorite scents. Courtney Alvarado, Wellness Manager

Cypress Grove Lamb Chopper is a firm sheep cheese that is deliciously creamy. I didn’t even know I liked sheep’s cheese until I tried the Lamb Chopper. It's now one of my favorites. Try it with a local Comic pear and a glass of crisp white wine. Gary Campbell, Specialties Department

May Day Community Block Party

On May 1st, several Southern Oregon businesses came together for a block party to provide a space to gather as a community after a rough spell due to the pandemic and fires. The May Day Block Party was hosted on Main St in Phoenix, where the scent of food trucks mingled with artisan goods such as local cheeses, locally farmed flowers, and even fresh-baked pastries.
