October Change for Good: Center for Non-Profit Legal Services

This October, the Ashland Food Co-op is proud to partner with the Center for Non-Profit Legal Services (CNPLS) for our Change for Good program. All month long, shoppers can round up their purchases to support CNPLS and their mission to provide access to justice.

CNPLS is a non-profit legal aid firm serving low-income and vulnerable community members in Ashland and surrounding areas. Their team of dedicated lawyers and volunteers work to ensure everyone has access to legal help, regardless of their ability to pay.

Each year, CNPLS assists hundreds of people by providing legal advice and representation in areas like housing, employment, and domestic violence cases. They advocate for those who are facing challenges like eviction, denial of essential benefits, and unsafe work conditions.

Access to legal help and representation can truly change lives. Yet many in our community don’t have the resources to afford an attorney. That's where organizations like CNPLS step in to fill the gap.

When you round up your purchase to the nearest dollar this month, you're supporting CNPLS and their mission to build a just community. Each small act of generosity adds up to make a big difference!

As a community-owned co-op, we're committed to supporting organizations that make Ashland stronger and more equitable. We hope you'll join us in contributing to CNPLS through the Change for Good program this October. Justice, diversity, and inclusion are cooperative values we can all get behind.
