  5. Meet at least one of the AFC Gives priorities:
    • Education, Arts and Culture - This CFG category supports organizations that provide education, arts and cultural programs that benefit the local community. This category also funds projects that teach us about the benefits of healthy food and nutrition.
    • Heath and Basic Needs - This CFG category supports organizations that strengthen our community by helping those with the greatest unmet needs. These needs include issues of housing and homelessness, providing for food, shelter, and clothing and/or addressing the needs of children in and on the edge of poverty. This category also funds organizations committed to human health, a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being.
    • Environmental Stewardship - Support for organizations working to develop environmental resiliency and sustainability. This CFG category also provides funds for hands-on projects that improve or restore our natural environment. Additional support is provided for organizations that increase awareness and viability of local food producers and/or support sustainable agriculture.

Change for Good partner organizations are required to provide:

  • One sentence for front end staff to share with shoppers at the register
  • Media
    • Logo (SVG (vector) or high quality PNG)
    • 4-8 photos/videos/other content to share in our marketing channels
    • Any projects, stories, or other information you would like the Co-op to highlight
  • We ask that a staff member or volunteer come to the Co-op to receive the check, take a photo, and record a short video. This is a great opportunity to highlight your organization and share your impact with the community!

What we do to support you in our partnership:

  • We offer you an information table at the front of the Co-op for two hours, twice per month, to share your materials, programs, etc. (to be scheduled with Co-op staff)
  • Our Marketing Team will produce graphics, images, and info that will be distributed, including these areas:
    • AFC Weekly Sales Flyer
    • Social Media posts (minimum 2)
    • Email Blasts (1)
    • Printed and Digital Posters displayed prominently in store

As a Change for Good partner it is helpful for your organization to send email and social media postings to your mailing list/followers, encouraging your supporters to round-up for Change for Good at the Co-op during your featured month.

Before you begin your application, it is recommended that you draft your responses to the questions in a separate Word or Google document. There is no way to save your progress and return to it while you're working on the application. When you have finished writing your responses in a separate document, simply copy and paste your answers into the appropriate fields. Do your best to answer the questions as they relate to your organization.
