Ingredients
1 ¾ cup Horsepower whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon sea salt
2 teaspoons organic cane sugar
⅓ cup unsalted butter
1 cup buttermilk

Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.

Combine all the dry ingredients and mix well.

Cut the butter into the flour with a pastry blender until the mixture has a fine-crumb consistency.

Stir the buttermilk in with a fork.

Stir until the dough is fairly free from the sides of the bowl. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently and quickly.

Roll or pat the dough to ¼ inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
