Ingredients
3 cups whole grain flour or Bobs 1:1
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon sea salt
1 ¾ cup apple juice or water
¼ cup diced beets
1 medium carrot, diced
1 medium apple, cored and diced
1 cup maple syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 cup chocolate chips
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon baking soda

1 medium carrot, diced
1 medium apple, cored and diced
1 cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Sift the dry ingredients together.

Place all remaining ingredients in a blender. Blend together until smooth.

Add the chocolate chips to the dry ingredients.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, and stir only enough to mix together.

Oil two 8 inch round pans. Pour the batter evenly into each of them.

Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Make a chocolate icing for the cake. Use raspberry jam in between the two cake layers
