Ingredients
4 Bosc pears, cored and diced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon white or red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
¼ cup brown sugar
4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 ½ tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 cup dried currants
1/16 teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ cup water
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon white or red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
¼ cup brown sugar

1 ½ tablespoons fresh ginger, minced

1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 cup dried currants
1/16 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.

Simmer over low heat for 2-6 hours. Stir often.

Add small amounts of water if necessary and to avoid the chutney sticking to the bottom

Alternatively, place all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours.

Serve with cheese, slices of fresh fruit or toasted slices of baguettes.
