Located deep in the Applegate, Full Bloom Farm is part of an intentional community whose property spans 282 acres of mostly forest and pasture along Yale Creek. Currently about 2.0 acres are being farmed, and that's steadily growing. The ten-person community has also sprouted the businesses Rise Up Artisan Breads and Heart of the Country Organic Flowers.

Full Bloom Farm owner Matt Vivrett has been around farming since 1991, gaining experience apprenticing with other operations. In 2006, he and Full Bloom co-owner Aria Bettinger together managed Green Gulch Farm of the San Francisco Zen Center. From there they moved to southern Oregon to begin Full Bloom.

Right now, Matt and Aria work this Oregon Tilth certified organic farm themselves. Eventually, as they expand into blueberries and fruit trees, they'll bring on more help. Matt and Aria have four-year-old twin girls, Tara and Talia, who help out on the farm. "One of them planted 100 plants the other day," says Matt. At that rate, the twins will have another ten acres planted by the time they're five!
