Utilizing a whole hog can be intimidating, even to the experienced home chef. Join Rich and Niki Harris, owners of California Heritage Farms, as they simplify cooking with the whole hog using everyone’s favorite summer tool: the grill. They will introduce the basic cuts that come from a whole hog, how using these cuts in your everyday meal plan is simple, and why using the whole animal is better for our food system and your wallet. Recipes over the grill include: Red-Wine-Braised Spareribs with Red Cabbage and Carrot Slaw, Pork Chops with Toasted Nuts, and Peached Pork. Participants receive 10% off their whole or half hog order!
