Roanne Lewis

At sixteen Roanne’s first job was as a baker’s assistant. Later she started Wild Ro’s Organic Catering, cooking for dude ranches, resorts and retreats. After studying macrobiotics and serving as one of the head chefs of the Kushi Institute, she was a private chef for individuals with serious health issues. Roanne is a certified macrobiotic cook, counselor and trained nutritionist with a specialty in healing whole foods diets, food preparation and cooking. She is also the nutritionist at an Ashland medical clinic, and author of For the Love of Eating, a plant-based, vegan cookbook available at the Ashland Food Co-op, Bloomsbury Bookstore and On her days off you can find Roanne in the kitchen dicing and slicing vegetables into jewel-like piles, writing a new song or simply going for a hike.
