NOW ACCEPTING CO-OP COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATIONS

Are you a non-profit, tax exempt organization in Jackson or Josephine
counties? Do you have an upcoming project that could use a little extra funding?
Our Co-op Community Grant Program might be just what you need to get your
project off the ground!

In existence since the early 1980’s, the program awards grants of up to $1500
to regional tax-exempt, non-profit organizations. Our grant cycle begins in January
and concludes with a Grant Award Event in May.

We consider projects that align with our vision of enhancing health and
enriching community, and also promote our mission to provide education about
food, nutrition and health.
All interested organizations with documented tax-exempt status are eligible to
apply.

You may request grants for up to $1,500. Proposals much match at least one of our grant categories (listed below), be submitted in a clearly-written format, and conform to the stated guidelines. Just follow the directions on the application and
you’ve got a shot at a grant award.

Our Grant Categories are:

Food and/or Supportive Services for People in Need
Grants in this category fund organizations or projects that strengthen our community by helping those with the greatest unmet needs.

Environmental or Sustainability Education
Grants in this category fund organizations or projects that teach us about our natural world and how we can sustain it and human activities for generations to come.

Environmental Stewardship
Grants in this category fund organizations or projects that have a hands-on component to improve or restore our natural environment.

Educational Programs Focused on Food, Nutrition, and Health
Grants in this category fund organizations or projects that teach us where our food comes from, how to prepare food, how to be self sufficient, how to improve overall health, and how food can strengthen communities.

You can pick up a Grant Application at the Information Desk, or you may request that one be emailed to you.

All applications are due no later than Monday, March 25th at 9 pm.

Our Grant Committee will review all the applications and make decisions during the month of April. Recipients will be notified in early May and we’ll give out the awards at a special event that includes dinner for two people from your organization.

Sharpen your pencils, put on your grant writer hats, and start on your application. Good luck!
